Ronson Victory
Trophy
This trophy
is one of several styles that Ronson made in the late 1930s. According
to old Ronson advertisements, these trophies were offered with a
variety of figures (mostly athletic figures, such as a baseball
player, a golfer, a bowler) and in a couple of different finishes.
Some were mounted
on bases with an ashtray, cigarette box, or rondelight lighter.
Others were mounted on bases with bookends, a lamp, or on a stand-alone
base (as shown here).
This trophy
is about 12" tall.

Rondelight
Solid Ball Table Lighter
This ball-shaped
lighter is solid, unlike the other Rondelight models. The flint
and fuel screws are in the bottom of the lighter.
The lighter
is the size of a baby Rondelight: about 2-1/8" tall and about
1-3/4" in diameter.
It is one of
only a handful known to exist among collectors.

Rondelight
Table Lighter
This ball-shaped
lighter is an unommon variation of the Rondelight lighter. It has
a standard fitment insert that slides in and out for fueling and
flinting.
It is about
the size of the Rondelight junior table lighter (about 2-1/4"
in diameter).
I think it dates
to the late 1940s or early 1950s
.

Rondelight
Cricket Table Lighter
This ball-shaped
lighter is covered in leather and, hence, is referred to as the
"cricket" ball lighter.
It is about
the size of the Rondelight junior table lighter (about 2-1/4"
in diameter).
I think it dates
to the late 1940s and may have been made and sold only in England
(I'm not sure).

Rondelight
Golf Ball (Bogey) Table Lighter
This ball-shaped
lighter is nickel plated. It is about the size of the Rondelight
baby table lighter (about 1-5/8" in diameter).
I believe it
dates to the 1940s.

Ronson New
Yorker Baronet Lighter
This rare deco
table lighter has a distinctive design.
In the Maltese
Falcon, this lighter is on the coffee table in Sydney Greenstreet's
apartment. Humphrey Bogart uses it to light a cigar as he listens
to Sydney Greenstreet explain the history of the Knights of Malta
and the black bird.

Ronson Whirlwind
Pocket Lighters
These deco design
pocket lighters are great and very inexpensive (as vintage lighters
go). I think they were made in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
They have a
retractable windguard in the front.

Ronson Standard
Pocket Lighters
These deco design
pocket lighters are great and very inexpensive (as vintage lighters
go). I think they were made in the late 1940s.

Ronson Princess
Pocket Lighters
These pocket
lighters look great, showing some of the nice deco designs used
by Ronson.
The Princess
model is smaller (in width and depth) than the Ronson Standard pocket
lighter.

Ronson De-Light
Pocket Lighters
These pocket
lighters looks great, showing some of the nice deco designs used
by Ronson.
The De-Light
model is about the size of the Princess model, but I believe is
pre-dates the Princess model and has a different fitament.
